This study aims to explore the perspectives and saving behaviors of Generation Z (Gen Z). As a generation that grew up in the digital era, Gen Z faces unique challenges between the desire for financial independence and the pressure of digital consumerism. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with nine Gen Z respondents. The results show that the majority of respondents have a high awareness of saving instilled from an early age, with the main motivations being achieving financial independence, emergency funds, and purchasing dream items (wishlists). The biggest challenges faced are the temptation of online shopping and a consumptive lifestyle. The saving instruments used have transformed from traditional piggy banks to digital banking and e-wallets. This study concludes that although Gen Z has good saving literacy, self-control and priority setting remain the determining factors for the success of their financial management.
