MANAGERIAL SUPERVISION STRATEGIES TO INCREASE TEACHER AND EDUCATION STAFF MOTIVATION

Abstract

This study aims to examine managerial supervision tactics in increasing the enthusiasm of teachers and education staff in schools. Managerial supervision is one of the crucial functions of school principals in managing human resources to produce efficient, professional, and focused performance in improving the quality of education. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation methods. The subjects of this study include school principals, teachers, and education staff. Data analysis is carried out through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the study show that: (1) managerial supervision strategies implemented by school principals, through regular coaching, good interpersonal communication, awarding, participation of teachers and staff in decision-making, as well as continuous monitoring and evaluation, can effectively improve work motivation, discipline, and responsibility of teachers and education staff; (2) Factors that support managerial supervision include the principal's leadership, a good working atmosphere, and collaboration among school members; (3) Existing barriers include time constraints, facilities, and differences in individual character (3) Existing barrier factors include time constraints, facilities, and individual character differences. Therefore, an appropriate managerial supervision strategy can play an important role in encouraging the motivation and professionalism of teachers and educational staff to achieve optimal educational goals.
